Rendang Wrap: A 3-Minute Lunchbox Hero
Some days you need lunch in one hand and your phone in the other. This rendang wrap takes three minutes, travels brilliantly, and tastes like you tried much harder than you did. The hero is our Not Your Makcik’s Rendang.

Ingredients
- 1 pouch Not Your Makcik’s Rendang
- 1 large tortilla or roti wrap
- A handful of shredded lettuce
- Sliced cucumber or pickled veg
- Optional: a spoon of Not Your Mama’s Sambal for extra kick
Method
- Heat the rendang pouch for 1 minute (microwave or boil), then snip it open.
- Warm the wrap for a few seconds so it folds without cracking.
- Layer lettuce and cucumber down the middle, spoon over the rendang, add sambal if you like it spicy.
- Fold in the sides, roll tightly, and wrap the bottom half in foil to hold it together.
Tips
Going to the office or a hike? Keep the unopened pouch in your bag (no fridge needed) and assemble the wrap fresh. Add cooked rice or a handful of crispy shallots to make it heartier.
